How does the increased surprise damage system work?
just for melee? no extra damage for shooting?
and what about the kick, does it count as melee?

Surprise is melee only and only if the zed doesn’t detect you. Kick has its own stats that isn’t associated with melee. I don’t remember it being buffed by body damage stats, unlike typical melee skills but I could be wrong... in general it is separate from melee.
